Chiloe is one of the few places in Chile that has maintained its own identity with unique characteristics that are clearly distinguished from other regions of the country

Its music, crafts, gastronomy, myths and legends, way of speaking, toponymy, etc., account for a culture that remained isolated from the rest of the national territory with its own syncretisms

But Chiloe is not only about tradition — it also boasts remarkable biodiversity. Off its coasts, you can witness the passage of the largest animal ever to exist on Earth: the Subantarctic Blue Whale. The island is also home to the smallest fox, marsupial, and amphibian species in the world.

It also has a large colony of Humboldt and Magellanic penguins that can be observed up close in the northwest of the island thanks to the use of local boats

The mission of this excursion is to get to know in a single day part of the native fauna visiting the penguin colonies and the city of Dalcahue whose market, food stalls, church and handicrafts can still breathe some of the Chiloe cultural essence.
