We invite you with this excursion to live a beautiful experience where we will learn about the hidden stories that exist on the slopes of the Osorno Volcano
From Puerto Varas we skirt Lake Llanquihue for 40 km to the east where we begin the ascent to the Osorno volcano along a narrow and steep paved route
The volcano has about twenty craters and we will get to know the most iconic of them on a short hike with chairlifts included with incredible views of the Petrohue Valley and Calbuco Volcano
We will talk about volcanology, the geomorphology of the environment and the significance that volcanoes have in the Mapuche worldview
Then we go to a nearby Williche indigenous community, where Mrs. Veronica will be waiting for us at the community Ruca with a typical lunch to live a nice intercultural experience where we will continue learning about the Mapuche Williche worldview through stories and conversations next to a traditional fire
To finish we will take a short walk along a beautiful country path within the indigenous community accompanied by a guide from the same community
The countryside in this sector has an extraordinary scenic beauty with views of the Osorno, Calbuco and Puntiagudo volcanoes.
