Trekking to the Osorno Volcano Glacier

Beautiful hike to the base of the Osorno Volcano glacier located at 2,000 meters above sea level.

Along with enjoying extraordinary views along the way, we will learn general aspects of volcanology in Chile, the geological history of Osorno and the main characteristics of this glacier.

From the base of the glacier you can see the island of Chiloe in its entire extension if it is clear or the cloudiness is high.

To get to the starting point of our trek we will use both sections of the mountain center's chairlifts, which run from 1,200 to 1,640 meters above sea level. Height at which we begin to walk.

This trek is suitable for anyone who enjoys walking. It has no technical difficulty.

Minimum age: 12 years old

Bring windbreaker jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, trekking shoes, 1 bottle of water

The day before the hike, detailed weather information will be provided to indicate whether additional warm clothing is needed (hat, gloves etc)
